Pleasant Valley Reservoir
Pleasant Valley Reservoir is our winter time still
water fishery. PVR gets stocked every other week with
Alpers trout and the hatchery stock Rainbows. However,
there are many Browns in the 10"-18" range. Many of
locals believe that there are a lot of double digit Browns
and "Bows" roaming the lake. Midging off the shore will get
a lot of action. Pulling streamer from a float tube will get
you into better sized fish and more Browns. PVR is long
and narrow, so bring a bike to help get around. Be careful
for the rocks surrounding the shoreline. They can be a
problem for people who can't get around very well.
